Hey, hope you are ok with me adding the various gemstone template thingys...I'll pull out my "Gemstones of the World" and fill out the list, and fill in the info later on. --Africanuck 06:50, 12 September 2006 (PDT)

Of course that is ok, the templates should be in templates though. For instance the Diamond properties are in the template "Template:Diamond". That way the properties table can be used elsewhere simply by typing in "{{diamond}}". Have a look at http://gemologyproject.com/wiki/index.php?title=Template:Diamond for an example. This works also though. --Doos 07:44, 12 September 2006 (PDT)

Can get to the templates easily enough, but am having no luck in finding out how to add one. It's probably something obvious, but I took too many holidays I think --Africanuck 02:45, 13 September 2006 (PDT) What I meant was is there a "TOC" for the templates somewhere, or do I just add on to the diamond one and it will make a toc?

If you go to http://gemologyproject.com/wiki/index.php?title=Template:painite .. you will see that the page doesn't excist yet. If you click on "edit" you create it on the fly. So just alter the gemstone name after the "Template:" part of the url. --Doos 11:18, 13 September 2006 (PDT)

OK!!!!!!!!!!! Got it, even though it's not very intuitive ;)--Africanuck 23:57, 13 September 2006 (PDT)
