Yup, so really I just wanted a crown that looked like the line angle structure of hexanitrobenzene. To do that, I had to start with the crown, then work my way backwards to a girdle outline, then just BS a pavilion that worked. I forgot that I would need a floater table - I hate floating facets in general, but there was no way around it. For such a bizarre design, the stone is surprisingly brilliant - I feel like that's because of the splitters in the pavilion (the fact that it's a semibarion certainly doesn't hurt).

The reflection pattern works out really well and makes a bright stone in any material from feldspar to CZ (RI = 1.52 - 2.16) with no changes, and if you don't mind a small window, can also be cut in fluorite! (Although why you'd want to, I have no idea...)

Cutting is very straightforward. REALLY straightforward. Just stop cutting the table when you think it's at a good size, preferably such that the hexagons are even.
