I got a bit bored with constantly using a 96-index, so here's a pentagon for you! I really liked the idea of having a circular table on non-circular shapes, but this pentagon was the first time I could get it to work. There's a five-pointed star on the pavilion and a sun on the crown, which I happen to be a big fan of as well. There's also an interesting corona effect around the table. Not sure where that came from, but whatever, it's sweet.

This design has GREAT light return. It's bright, it's sparkly, and it's interesting. The best part is that it works in almost every material, AND it has tons of flexibility in terms of height scaling. Can be cut in any material from feldspar to CZ (RI = 1.52 - 2.16) with no changes, but again, I'd optimize a bit depending on the material and rough dimensions.

The pavilion is a snap to cut - it's almost painlessly easy. The crown is still pretty easy, but be careful with the C3 facets. Cut the indices that meet (C1, C2) first, like the 95/01 pair, so that you get a culet point on the crown. THEN cut the "semi-floating" facets, so that you know how deep to cut them. I would just prepolish them in, since they're very fine, narrow facets.
