This is a nice drop shape design. It is VERY easy and fun to cut and performs quite well. I cut it a few times in quartz, topaz and tourmaline and I've never been disappointed. In orange/yellow stones it looks like a candle flame.

Maya drop - Marco Voltolini

Citrine quartz

"Rubellite" tourmaline (rich purple-red in person, under strong halogen light it gets this brownish mask...)

This is a nice drop shape design. It is VERY easy and fun to cut and performs quite well. I cut it a few times in quartz, topaz and tourmaline and I've never been disappointed. In orange/yellow stones it looks like a candle flame.

A couple of examples on the right.
