Lucciola - Marco Voltolini

Test cut in citrine quartz
Rendering simulating olivine
Test cut in amethyst quartz

This is an easy design, probably following the "minibarion" concept (like many A. Wolkonsky designs). The general outline is a little different and suits well some pieces of rough that seem to call for a shape like this.

It is easy to cut, only some attention on the small facets on the pavilion is required, and provides a nice and sparkly gem with little effort. Having a few facets it may not be very suited for extremely large gems.
