Artishock - Marco Voltolini

Rendering simulating prasiolite quartz

This would be a less classic-looking alternative to my "Cipolla" design. I decided to omit the "splitters" on the pavilion to get a sort of radiant-like pattern, which is then patterned by the checker-like crown. Simulations show a pretty overall reflections pattern and a very good light return. You can cut in any material with quartz RI and up, but this has been aimed to quartz, since I liked the piece of prasiolite I cut to test the "Cipolla" design and I hope to cut a similar stone, using this new version.

If you cut a stone using this design please consider posting a photo on this page.
