I've written two designs that mimic the Triforce from Legend of Zelda. This was actually the original design, which I wrote for an obnoxiously shaped piece of blue orthoclase feldspar, that I sawed off from what I intended to be a USFG entry. It's surprisingly good at light return, and has a very interesting reflection off the bottom, for having so few facets and such a bland shape.

This pattern definitely can NOT be cut in opal or fluorite without some serious optimization, but it looks great in, and be cut in, any RI up to 2.16 (cubic zirconia) with no changes. Hell, it looks good up to 2.62 (rutile)!

There's nothing tricky about cutting this. Nothing. This would make a great beginner's stone, for a first-time triangle. It would even be really easy to set, and somehow it magically turned out really shallow, a huge shock for something with an RI as low as orthoclase.

I've written two designs that mimic the Triforce from Legend of Zelda. Not quite the exact same shape, though - this is a bit more cushion-y. It's very reminiscent of a snowflake.

This pattern definitely can NOT be cut in opal or fluorite without some serious optimization, but it looks great in, and be cut in, any RI up to 2.16 (cubic zirconia) with no changes. Hell, it looks good up to 2.62 (rutile)!
