This traditional emerald cut tri-color weighs in at 58.3 carats. It is the biggest gem by far that I have ever cut and nothing I plan to cut will ever come close. The piece of rough that I cut this gem from came from Moyane Mozambique and was an almost perfectly preformed water worn pebble. The green end was the terminus and had a great angle for the pavilion, while the long sides of the worn crystal were very nearly parallel. This lead to a 55 per cent yield that I will probably never attain again. The colors show good balanced in tone and distribution and are pretty colors on top of every thing else. It was a sweet deal all the way around. And for me a once in a life time opportunity.
